This week’s video is a Handstand Sweep to the Armbar. Check out the step-by-step pictorial below. You’ll want to start this technique off in closed guard.

Step #1: Starting in the closed guard position.

Step #2: One hand on the floor the other arm hugs your opponent’s leg. (Handstand)

Step #3: As you drive your hips up and over his leg that your trapping, you are bringing him back to the floor. (Handstand Sweep)

Step #4: It’s very common for your opponent to push your chest. They know you’re trying to get up on top.

Step #5: Raise hips, lift a leg over the opponent’s head.

Step #6: Falling to the shoulder to catch the armbar here.
