In today’s video/blog, Professors Rob and Guy demonstrate a Tomoe Nage Throw. This is a good technique to use when your opponent locks up and stiff arms you, making it hard to get in tight to go for any takedown or throw.

As your opponent locks up, you’re going to make an entry step.

Next, you’re going to take your foot and put it to your opponent’s hip.

Sit back and make sure to put a hook behind the opposite knee.

Bring your knees toward your head, lifting your opponent above you.

It’s a straight overhead throw.

Finally, coming into the Mount position.
