Back Take off of the Army Guillotine from the Turtle Position
So we’re starting off in the Turtle position. We have one hook in, again maybe he’s defending the hook on the other side. Maybe you just don’t want to climb over and go to the back. He’s defending the neck on the same side you are.

In Turtle-slicing the arm to the opposite side of the neck
So we attack by slicing the arm in and dropping to our hip. Getting really close to him. Now, for whatever reason, he’s not tapping. It may be that the angle isn’t right.

Dropping to hip
We’re going to abandon our grip and we’re going to hook under his armpit. Making sure we keep the head trapped.

Hook under arm
We’re going to switch our grip to a gable grip and we’re going to flair his arm toward us. As we do that we’re twisting his upper body.

Switching to gable grip
We’re going to pass off and grab his bicep. Continue to pull him, we still have one leg trapped.

Grabbing bicep as we pull him over
We’re going to scoop our hips out just a little, adjust, put our second hook in.

Placing second hook in
Finally, attack the neck and take the back.

Attack neck, take the back
And that is a really good Back Take off of the Army Guillotine we showed you last week when we can’t finish. We hope that this step by step photo guide was helpful for this back take technique. If you’d like to see the video click below.
