Learning to tie your belt is often a challenge, like learning to tie your shoes. However, with practice it becomes easier and easier. Pretty soon you’ll tie your belt like a pro. See below the step by step instructions with pictures to help you.
Step #1: Hold your belt at the half way point. A way to tell is if both ends of your belt touch the floor at the same time. Next cross the right side of the gi in first then the left side to close.

Step #2: Next, you’ll take the middle of the belt and place it just below your belly button around your waist. You’ll wrap once so that your belt crosses in the back.

Step #3: The belt that’s in your right hand is going to cross over top of the other two. Then from here you’ll just pull it underneath and behind those two belts. Then pull it out and snug it up.

Step #4: Now, you’ll take the belt in the left hand and go over the right one. This will make a hole, you’ll pull the belt up through that hole.
