In this weeks 2 Minute Technique Professors Guy and Rob demonstrate the Kimura from Half Guard into the Inverted Armbar. Here is a quick break down using photos to learn the technique step by step.
Have you ever been in the Half Guard going for the Kimura and you can’t finish it because your opponent has extended their arm? Let’s check out this Armbar…
Step #1:

Starting in Half Guard using a Knee Shield.
Step #2:

Sit up to attack for the Kimura.
Step #3:

Fall back (opponent extends his arm).
Step #4:

Escape knee and Shrimp to opposite side.
Step #5:

Pinch opponents arm between shoulder and neck.
Step #6:

Both feet to opponents hips, pinch at knees. Grab shoulder and bicep, trapping opponents arm, squeeze.
Step #7:

Crunch up or ‘I dream of Genie’ to get the tap from the Inverted Armbar.
