In a previous blog we left off transitioning to the back mount position on the weak side. That’s where we’re going to pick up today. So, in this position whichever arm is over your partner, that’s going to be the strong side. Based on the transition that we did we ended up on the weak side. Below is a quick overview.
Now for the first attack you’ll wedge your hand down under his chin and still get the thumb into the collar grip. From here, we’re going to keep our elbow low and close to his shoulder and pull back and finish the choke.
Now if your opponent starts to defend the choke, a secondary attack is necessary. Take your right hand and put it over his head switching your grip. We can go back to a Kimura style. When you’re ready you’ll throw the right leg over his head. Kick him across and we’re going to sit up as we do this. Our left leg will transition up high towards his chest. From here we control the wrist, sit back and finish with the Armbar.
