Ok, guys, we’re back! I’ve got Professor Boo here with me. This video is a follow up to the Omaplata technique that we did in our previous video last week. Professor Boo is going to show one of his favorite escapes when he gets caught in the Omaplata.
While in the Omaplata, we always, especially in the gi, can hide our hand and anchor our arm so we don’t get shoulder locked. We have our other hand out for base so we’re good and stable. So if he tries to kick we have a good base keeping us sturdy.
Next, I’m going to slide my inside knee right up under Professor Guy’s bottom. This way it’s going to be really hard for him to kick. I have my foot out for a base. Now, a lot of times they’re going to try to throw their legs over or we are going to bring him over.
So he can’t kick and bring me flat, I’m going to control his ankle, then I’m going to duck under. The first finish we can do is extend our shoulders and do a foot lock.
If you are unable to do the foot lock all we’re going to do is look up to the sky with a proud chest, do wrestling sit out, come around and come into side control. Take our arm out nice and quick so we don’t get caught in a Reverse Triangle.
This is one of my favorite escapes. You’re safe, you don’t have to worry about rolling out into an armlock and you’re nice and stable. Thanks for watching.
